TOD

Turning action into sustainable development.
Our Story

Working for Lasting Change

Talawiet for Development (TOD) was established in 2005 as a voluntary, national development organization registered under the Voluntary and Humanitarian Work Regulation Act. It was officially listed in the national registry of organizations under number (69) in 2010. TOD was founded to address the developmental needs of rural communities, provide essential services, and support key sectors including health, education, agriculture, water, and social welfare. The organization aims to strengthen the service-delivery capacities of rural communities, enhance resilience, and enable them to overcome local challenges and reduce the impacts of poverty—particularly where inadequate services and weakened livelihood systems have long persisted. These challenges have been further exacerbated by limited national resources available for voluntary action, leading to reduced performance among national organizations in meeting the real needs of their target populations. TOD fulfills its mission through an active and experienced Board of Directors, supported by a qualified executive team with strong technical expertise, practical field experience, and the ability to efficiently implement programs, manage resources, and respond to community needs. Together, they ensure that the organization remains committed to transparency, accountability, and delivering sustainable, community-centered development across the state.
